He has all of the opportunities for comfort but is turning it down to be the president nobody wanted. He is eating shit every day and his best case scenario is dying in office.
Imagine your legacy coming down as one of the most justifiably hated person who could go down in history as destroying the status quo you have fought for. He is destroying his legacy and it's going down in history.
He could have retired as the most popular single-term president since Teddy.
But. His hubris wouldn't allow it.
