That ambani wedding between the billionaires in India is approximately 320M$.

I don't think any oligarch from any country has ever managed to pull off a party of that expense.

India really is just what you would get if there was no CPC for China

For comparison, coronation of Jean Bedel Bokassa, often cited as the most senslessly lavish party in recent history costed 20 million$ (in 1977 dollars, today it would be around 100 million)
