I hate how no one is allowed to enjoy anything anymore because of these assholes.
I also hate it because it distracts from the actual real problems the industry is going though (capitalist enshittification)
Yeah they identify that games are getting worse but redirect it to the usual scapegoats of fascism, women, minorities, lgbtq+ the jews.
This is 99% of reactionaries and their politics. They will correctly identify a problem, but then turn around and blame it on a scapegoat. They do this because they can see the system isn't working, but they don't want the system to change, so they have to come up with another explanation for why it's not working.
The one time I dared to visit /r/KotakuInAction years after
gate, it was to see what the cryptofascist spin was regarding all the sex pestery and creepy shit happening in Blizzard offices.
Their take?
"This is because of soy beta numales. They can't conquer feeemales the traditional way so they have to do it in a roundabout way while promoting wokeness. The implication was also that having feeemales in the office at all was an invitation for sex pestery.
Yup quality of games have fallen off a fucki g cliff in every way except I clcus8on but guess what Gamers biggest issue is nowadays.
