I personally prefer the JRPG style Airship You Only Get When It No Longer Meaningfully Opens Up The Map And Is Mostly A Means To Reach The Final Chapter Zone
I will die on the hill that Skies of Arcadia is one of the best JRPGs for giving you the airship early and keeping it relevant.
Not enough games involve sky piracy, and that's terrible.
And also random bosses and dungeons hidden in remote corners of the world map
