I'd like to think that the one thing we can say is good about the coming storm is that hopefully some gullibility goes away

It won't go away. The worse things get, the more they'll blame liberals and LGBTQs and immigrants. Nazi Germany got the living shit bombed out of them for 2 or 3 years and it just made them cling to their nonsense all the harder.
