Well, the PLA did beat their ROKA opponents in the peninsula, but then the US jumped in, and then the Chinese jumped in, and things got quite messy.

But the meme still has it wrong because virtually all their equipment was soviet, with the possible exception of the medals, so they're not any different...

Yeah sorry, wasn't disagreeing with that part, only with why the meme didn't work.
