Realistically, working at a factory or warehouse job, most of your meals are from a machine or a fast-food restaurant, unless you have someone at home packing your lunch. For me most days it was cereal for breakfast, one of my sandwiches for lunch, and leftovers for dinner. In-between I'd make large batches of soup or rice or dal or pasta, sometimes they'd be lunch and sometimes they'd be dinner. But on top of a fulltime job it was exhausting, and it makes sense how I was one of very few people who made their own packed lunches.
Having a diverse menu where you don't repeat an item over 2 weeks is a luxury that's only possible if a homemaker is putting a lot of hours into cooking, or if it's mess hall/buffet style.
i feel you, i work in a warehouse/factory (i do our manufacturing in house and also oversee the inventory/shipping etc in the warehouse) and i'm not gonna pretend i have the greatest diet but i don't eat this kinda food. granted i'm a vegetarian so i'm almost forced to eat vegetables but still. like you said, i'll make one big ass pot of chilli or soup for the week and then i can just have other random little meals in between. i get those Birds Eye frozen power blends for like 2 bucks a bag, they're healthy for you, don't have crazy preservatives or anything you don't wanna be eating, and you literally just put it in the microwave. i would rather eat 3 of those a day if i had to than eat this person's diet which imo takes a long time to prepare and is just gonna have him shitting blood if anything comes out at all
