this particular issue gets me so fucking livid. i guess it's because of how pervasive it is lately. every fucking guy and their dog is on some MRA/redpill/incel shit now to some degree.
i'm seeing redpill rhetoric be adopted by acquaintances, friends, etc. in real time. i constantly have to fight it. CONSTANTLY. it's driving me fucking crazy.
i have to be on high alert with every guy who isn't already well versed in this subject, and hell even guys who really should know better are still falling for it. i've seen it on this site, although i'm glad action is actually taken against that here, unlike

I always try to convince myself that “We’re not all like that!” But then I see the ratio of my fem to male friends is something like 4:1 ( probably talking friends+acquaintances but still).

I can’t tell you how many times I’ll like see something online that seems like a really hyperbolic and extreme men suck sentiment and I’ll go “ok I understand the sentiment but this is a bit much.”
And then I’ll talk to men irl, even men in my own circle who id hope are generally “better” and just realize that nope, I was wrong, men really are completely unsalvageable
One of my friends recently told me she went on a date where she had to “escape” because the dude was getting so aggressive. Luckily they were at a pretty crowded event and she was able to blend into the crowd.

I suppose just being socialized into the patriarchy. But I’d love to peer into the mind of someone who is on a first date and decides hey I should start getting aggressive here thatd be a good idea. That’s a mindset that I find so completely alien to me and it’s not as if I wasn’t raised and socialized with patriarchal ideals myself
This is so interesting to me. I have predominantly female friends, some men who are really great friends. I have thought a lot about this over the last while, but it never occurred to me that most men just suck, and I don't want to be friends with them. This makes so much sense.
Sounds just like me lol I just haven’t made friends with another guy in probably 7 years because of it. Would love to learn more about this phenomena if you could call it that
