Got banned from the federated meta comm on lemm.ee for literally calling out transphobia. "Unproductive outward hostility" lmao. And that's carried over into our modlog. (hexbear.net)

Can we do anything about that?

Genuinely this fucking sucks, and something needs to be done considering we are federated with them.

EDIT: Looks like the ban got reversed. Same with others in that thread.

The part where it's "carried over into our modlog" can't be helped, except by defederating or major code changes.

it would be nice to be able to see what comes from our mods/admins vs those of other instances, but currently the anonymization of mod actions is all or nothing. Stuff in the modlog does not entail endorsement from our mods/admins but if its a persistent issue we can nominate instances for defedding.

edit: worth noting that instance admins should still be able to see who did what in the modlog, so we can still hold federated instances accountable for their mods, it just takes someone looking into it

I find it strange that the https://lemm.ee/modlog only shows the bans but not the reversals for "fighting transphobia" so I wonder if that was our admins. Maybe it's just that I don't have an account there....

Love how they just said they have two decades of organizing experience to justify telling people to just be quiet to not upset the cishets. Yeah mfer so do I and it's taught me not to just roll over for bigots. I have been fired for organizing and for speaking out against bigots and I would fuckin do it again too. @bayesianbandit@lemm.ee Coward. I will point out facts as I see them and you are telling people to cede ground to Nazis which is absolutely unacceptable from someone that claims to have two decades of organizing experience. You should be ashamed of yourself.
