The political compass was a psyop to legitimize authoritarianism and pretend that leftist movements could be authoritarian.
Tankies don’t need a compass to think they’re left.
The point is to make others think they are left
So explain all those leftist movements that ended up creating dictatorships like the Soviet Union and the PRC.
But they weren’t even Scotsmen!
I'm sorry I have to be the one to tell you this, but calling a country communist doesn't make it a communist country, that would require implementing communist principles which are inherently at odds with a top down autocracy.
Leftist ideologies are not compatible with authoritarianism.
Why cant there exist a leftist authoritarian ideology?
Core leftist principles are directly at odds with authoritarianism.
What would you consider core leftist principles?
Labor owning the means of production and the value of their labor, as well as every person actually being equal and having equal influence means the system inherently is collective rather than authoritative.
