i'm not very familiar with how those are made but it seems strange and random for composites to exist of a smattering of northern europe but also bits of eastern europe and mediterrean islands, like what could that possibly be studying?

one might simply procure composites and make up where they're 'from' though

Ethnographers, anthropologists, measurehead , and the likes. It really should not be a surprise the euros are really into this sort of shit. They start trying to tell the physical differences between a Czech and a Solvak and a few grad programs later they're taking mugshots deep in the Congo.

They were really into these composites back in the 2010s. It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that there's multiple of these databases lying around for free. Hell this website could've just been one grad student slapping a webui on another grad students work.
