My experience with the employees leads me to believe that they may not be our best and brightest.
I’d like to say that I’m surprised, but I am not.
Right?
I'm a big supporter of normal unions - but "unions" for government thugs feel different. We all know the police union only exists to keep cops away from consequences, I'm sure the airport security theater thugs were in a similar boat.
No government employee should have a union that helps them fight against the interests of the public they are (hypothetically) serving. It's nonsensical.
It keeps the incompetent around.
That’s what unions do, along with artificially inflating wages for unskilled work
The TSA regularly has people get more handsy than they need to.
America has a history of issuing badges and guns that way
TSA is one of the biggest boondoggles in recent history. I have never set foot in one of those fucking scanners (which have NEVER prevented a terrorist attack) and I never will, I have made them pat me down every time until I figured out another shortcut to get around the whole thing. If everyone had done that at the start we could have nipped the whole fucking thing in the bud and maybe saved another shred of our disappearing liberty. Instead we have..... this. gestures wildly around in all directions
What’s the shortcut, be a pilot?
No, it has nothing to do with special access of any kind. I wish I could tell but if enough people do it, they'll catch on. And I'm tired of being molested every time I fly. I'll give you a small hint, I discovered it when I had a surgery that had my arm in a sling for a while and I had to fly, so I was physically unable to use their stupid fucking scanner machine even if I wanted to.
The purpose of the TSA is to be a job creator. No representative wants to go on record to kill those jobs.
Some have calves the size of cantaloupes
While there are tons of problems with the TSA, protecting those that aren't the brightest is part of the reason unions exist, isn't it?
No. the reason unions exist is to
Unfortunately a side effect is that unions also protect the stupid/incompetent/lazy to the detriment of the company AND union.
