Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

See that! See the sheer fucking power of Central planning!!!

Less than a week!

It's glorious. Just a "well fuck you then" and in less than a week it's happening. Didn't have to fuck around for years in committee or hold rounds of congressional hearings then find the cheapest corner cutting half ass contractor in the country.

Shit just happens. Look at the maps of high speed rail in China. Look at it! I can't even have a goddamn city bus where I live. They have a million miles of fucking bullet trains. The biggest infrastructure projects in the world.

/sigh.

Sorry. I'm just fucking sick and tired of living in a third world country with a Gucci belt.

I don't mean to detract from the rapidity of this, but it looks like this was figured out in 2022 after a decade of research.

Still very fast adoption in face of the US's tariff stupidity. I wouldn't be surprised if they had this tech already primed explicitly for this type of scenario.

That’s part of good central planning though, doing necessary research ahead of time so you’re prepared to make decisions

BINGO, it simply reiterates OP's point about central planning being the primary reason it happened in a week
