I don't even know what to really say about it. Truth be told I was kind of numb when the first migrants where shipped off to CECOT and GITMO, which is bad on my part, maybe it was a coping mechanism idk. But this guy's harrowing case, the case of all these migrants that did nothing wrong outside of crossing a stupid line in the sand for the hopes of finding a better life, has me despairing even harder than usual. I just keep thinking about this all day and I feel guilty that my stupid first world white ass is free and allowed to partake in the empire's treats while these people are sent off to concentration camps, probably to die.

I know this should radicalize me even further and strengthen my resolve to be a better leftist but I just catch myself like slipping into nihilism that it's all futile and the bad guys have won.

Say what you will about the USSR. At least they had due process.

Yes but 1000000 trillion billion in the gulads! so-true

(Don't mention that after the USSR fell, the numbers actually in the gulags was so low, westerner "intellectuals" thought the numbers were cooked. Don't mention that the US were executing suspected spies while the USSR was EXILING and often allowing back ACTUAL FUCKING SPIES AND TRAITORS.)

afaik in china most times if you end up in a court room its because you’re already confirmed on camera to be breaking the law. so it may be hard to actually say, it could look like 10/10 people who see court get convicted but that could be because those people were caught on camera breaking the law. i know for shit like traffic violations and shit police typically wont even bother you. you just get a fine in the mail showing you the evidence of what you did

What's the procedure if not confirmed to break the law on camera then?

Almost everything is on camera in China.

Without the USSR, the Nazis would never have been stopped. I know the German trains always ran on time, though.

Not sure if you're ignorant to the expression.

USSR had plenty of arrests of dissidents with sham proceedings, resulting in horrible results for acts such as writing independent cultural poetry. The USSR had due process, like Auschwitz had due process.

I am not ignorant to the source of the expression. I'm pointing out how ironic it is that you're using an anti-Nazi expression against the country that ended the Nazis, the USSR.

Both are cases where the states repression of the people was covered up with trivial but famtastical descriptions of competence. Mussolini's trains weren't actually consistently on time. The CCCP was rife with abuse of due process, both abusing dissenters and bypassing the corrupt.
