This is even worse. Trying to follow guides to pause syncing of OneDrive and nothing is as the guide said. So I poked around more and I now have the choice of pausing it for up to 24 hours or unlinking it completely.

At this point I feel like Microsoft is expensive spyware but I don’t have the energy to jump through all the hoops to control it or make the switch 😔

Also In regards to co pilot, you can go into apps>installed apps and go down to Microsoft 365 copilot

From there you can disable the background running of it and turn off the runs at log-in option.

Cheers! I’ll try. The steps I’ve been seeing in guides haven’t been matching what’s shown on my screen but I’ll give it a go.

No worries, that photo is from my work laptop with windows 11 so you should be easy to adjust it and turn off or uninstall from there.

I forgot to mention. In the list of installed app you need to click on the 3 dots on the right hand side and go into Advanced Options

Or you could uninstall it.

Cheers, I’ve got that sorted. I would uninstall but not sure if it would bork anything

I don’t know of this will help but this is what I found.

Thanks, that’s what I found but I didn’t want to take a drastic step until I’ve got things backed up.

no way in hell i'm using one drive or any other cloud

It appears I have been so I gotta try and sort this out in case it prevents me sending or receiving emails and having to pay for more storage -_-

I’m being bullshitted in circles. At some point I probably should get a huge external drive and manually back everything up onto there. But then there’s the risk of it being lost or broken and losing everything. Not to mention the organisational load of having to sort it all out.
