Dude, not really OK dropping slurs when you’re not really read up on this.

The data itself is highly questionable.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/fact-check-posts-claiming-40-110000305.html

In sum, an extensive search found that the two studies originating in the early 1990s were the only ones that shared a "40%" statistic purporting to reveal how many police officers admitted to being violent toward their partners. The Neidig study's results muddied the issue by including abuse perpetrated by the officers' spouses. The Johnson study applied an overly vague definition of violence.

Cops are bad, but bad data is also bad.

He wanted sources and I gave them. Done deal.

As for the slur, was it my best judgement? No. But I was speaking from the heart

I hope there comes a time where your passion does not need slurs to be expressed in a way you feel best represents your feelings in the heat of the moment.

That's not a joke or anything. Passion can be great and cathartic. It's a shame then that it can so often be marred by internalized hatred, and I genuinely hope that changes for not just you, but all of us.

As someone who grew up with a debilitating learning disability, I definitely don't have internalized hatred toward people who, honestly, I consider to be "my own kind" for lack of better words. I could go on but I think that's about all I really need to say on the matter
