They're ok with the far right when the far right are being weaponised to push their agenda abroad. They just don't want it at home.
In the UK I don't think they really mind it at home either though. The "let's all get along" attitude I see and "good lad" behaviour is pervasive and shitty.
You mean in a "necessary evil since the ontologically evil russians are even worse" or maybe a "To each their own" kind of way. I can see that... I'll probably never understand it fully though.
