god the fucking chase where they can leave and come back but the bad guys can't jump an interdictor in the path of the fleeing ships

people thought of the hyperdive missile thing years ago and there's books in the bin that got a little into "that's not how those work"

and people like rogue one or whatever but all the new shit has depictions of ships visible from the ground doing hyperjumps which just completely undercuts the drama of the escape from tatooine because you're not supposed to fucking be able to jump from gravity wells.

fuuuuck everybody actually in charge of star wars fuck disney i want those Sword of the Jedi books they were gonna publish about Jaina Solo

yeah but some fiction being connected to other fiction makes it more interesting instead of treating every episode of a tv show as its own universe
