I was talking about (my) autism and ADHD at work with someone with ADHD, and the theory that they're not entirely separate conditions but different expressions of the same condition, and the fucking (hexbear.net)

Woo woo sage and crystals psychotherapist butted in to say they were definitely separate, because ADHD was genetic while autism was generally caused by outside influences like vaccines.

God I hate him so much. He bragged about spending 9 days in Peru on a Ayahuasca vision quest so I've been rephrasing it to everyone as shitting and puking until he saw god.

How cooked does your brain need to be to not only believe vaccines can cause autism, but that they are the primary cause? So unspeakably stupid . . .

I'm just fascinated that they think ADHD is genetic and that autism is caused by vaccines. Usually they point to that "nobody had it back in my day" with both (ADHD is usually blamed on parenting or children using [current fad]).

It's literally just because they were told that autism is caused by vaccines and the woo woo con artists haven't told their flock of rubes about a special ADHD cure for only $149.99 yet.
