What’s the best way to go about getting a good deal on an apartment?

Also, how do you find a roommate that’s not an ass?

I lived in Philly in 2015 near Temple. Roommates were found on facebook and mostly on drugs, never cleaned up, and didn’t pay the utilities. I’m trying to avoid that!

Any tips?

Moved here with a friend of mine, so no help in finding a roommate department.

As the other commenter suggested though, craigslist is actually somewhat useful here. I got my job from it no prob, still working there 2 years later moderately happy with it
