Yes but in the beginning in the podcast the purgatory theory already came up and they were like "noooo that's not what we're doing".

And yes I don't like Abrams stuff much for that reason. At least he's got the right name, his work is really like a main battle tank, it's all about the explosions and brute force, not finesse.
