What else do you expect from the people using owls on treadmills to power a geometric ursinology shitposting web forum?

it’s actually an engine that runs on owl piss

I avoid this by having 15 calendar reminders or recurring payments setup.

A yearly $30 is not hard to manage, and I do it with several less important domains with ADHD severe enough to make feeding myself difficult.

Really hard to trust my privacy and security here when casually letting the domains expire is just brushed off as "its just a shitposting forum" as if libs, feds, and chuds haven't already expressed interest in targeting, harassing, or doxxing users here.

Thank you for trying to maintain the site. It's gotta be frustrating doing free work and not have other people commit.

I think when we say "shitposting website," we just mean it as a reminder to not do serious organizing because Hexbear is a target for reactionaries. Like don't try to stage a protest, direct your real life org to use Hexbear, or post personal information. Hexbear is good for memes, discussing theory, distributing mutual aid, and arguing with libs. It's not a good place for direct action because it is an online website easily compromised by feds.
