I have this stupid notion that only warm drinks provide energy/stimulation.

There is zero facts to support it, but that's what I choose to abide by.

Used to work with a chap (very white aussie). He'd always drink hot water and take Chinese herbal meds for everything.

Never met a person who would get sick more than him.

Oh yeah. He used have a hacking cough and would take some weird shit for it. He'd be 100% certain that the medicine helped to cure the cough after like 4 weeks.

Depends on the weather. If it's hot there is a temp threshold the drink must be below, in all other conditions hot drinks are preferable
