I'm not sure why people think opera is stuffy and pretentious. They do that sort of stuff a lot. I've been to a couple with full frontal nudity, and one that had a giant inflatable person they were giving an enema to (I can't remember which one or what the context was, but that bit definitely stood out!)
I've never been to the opera but I might now.
Right?
I have a similar opinion of Shakespeare. It's not difficult poncy nonsense for torturing high schoolers, it's utter filth and fart jokes!
