Carlquist allegedly told the tow truck driver about what she had done, and the driver informed the ex-boyfriend's mother, who co-owns the car, to tell her what he had learned, per WKYT.

According to the outlet's report, Carlquist reached out to her ex on social media and told him she was stressed out in connection to her pregnancy and apologized for what had happened. WDKY reported that Carlquist also sent emails that indicated she would do the following:

Pay for the repairs

Give him another car

Give him her car

During an interview with police, Carlquist allegedly admitted to pouring glitter into the AC vents and damaging the windshield, but said her ex was "overdue" for the other damage, per WKYT.
