I think you might find this interesting. [Nouvelle Vague](Nouvelle Vague (album) - Wikipedia https://share.google/1jucfoJR114n4n6ur) is a French cover band that took popular music and made it bossa nova. What's interesting is the first album was covers that the singers had not heard of before.
