Interview prep is complete.

Time to chill and wait till 7pm.

Fingers crossed!!!

Edit: you guys are the best. Thank you ❀️ regardless of outcome it's practice which I'm going to need.

I've created a timetable to structure my days between gym, applications and increasing my IT knowledge with some time aside for music and gaming on weekends.

I am so, so fucking glad I am not on suboxone right now. The difference in mindset is night and day.

Got back down the beach last night. Needed the break (again). Ol' girl is heading to the dietitian today had to reel out all the shit that's going into the soup she eats to ol' boy over the phone.. He got a bit frustrated as it's a fair list lol.

Still seems like I've only managed to keep her weight stable (or not dropping as quickly). Taken way too long to get even just to here which is very concerning. The only thing I can control is what goes in the soup. Can't control volume or frequency.

But...

Resident magpie has been bribed βœ”οΈ

Oxalis is looking dead af βœ”οΈlittle bit more to go but so far so good.

Council or whoever has lopped a bunch of things that were too close to wires so a nice surprise on the nature strip for extra mulch.

So little bit of wfh today then grinding up wood (which is actually very relaxing given how violent the mulcher is).

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 6 points 8 months ago

Look at it this way, even maintaining a stable weight when someone doesn’t want to eat is an achievement.

[–] Eagle@aussie.zone 4 points 8 months ago

Weight stability is an achievement! Well done!

I've cut down on bread, cigarettes, cappuccinos. Snacking is non existing except for fruit, nuts and cheese on the rare occasion. Sleep, energy and motivation is excellent. I feel on top of the world and I've lost a couple of kgs.πŸ™‚

Also vertigo is stable.

Getting match fit for menopause. πŸ’ͺ

I can't cut down on ciggies or cappuccinos as I don't have them, but I do have bread and I do have 2 oat milk coffees a day. I snack too much. My vertigo hasn't come back since I did special exercises a few years ago. Sleep is shot. Motivation is very very strong but I'm tired, am fighting depressive states and the zeitgeist.

also, Carpenters are awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dewlH6HSDzk&list=RDdewlH6HSDzk&start_radio=1

It's like when people say "I gave up my 3 litres a day coke now I feel great and I've lost weight".

I DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM TO GIVE UP! Turns out it was bread making me feel shit.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 5 points 8 months ago

home made bread is ok so far, there are some bread products that I do not handle well, like english muffins

πŸ₯Ά

The side door of my van froze shut! It sucks having to defrost before you can go home (night shift). I've scraped the windscreen and dumped a few bottles of water over the ice and the water is refreezing.

Rightio.

Sucks waking up with a headache but:

Study for interview at 7pm Organise a bunch of life admin Create a few variations of my resume and start applications.

I also applied to the old companies direct competitor. There's only 2 companies that do that particular work so I wonder if I'll hear back.

I just had a suicidal rabbit throw itself under my wheels on the way to work.

First hairdressers appointment in 4 and a half years booked for tomorrow... and I've come down with a cold. I feel bad for postponing, but I'd feel worse if the hairdresser got sick.

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 6 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I still sometimes chuckle remembering the lines around the corner when the rona hairdresser restrictions lifted. The one near me was easily a hundred metres or so for a few days in a row. Wasn't so funny for the hairdressers though.

Mulch almost done. Probably wasn't worth the time being honest, better off just ordering it in. The real bugger was cutting it and trying to stuff it in the mulcher. Satisfying though. All up that gave maybe 2 - 2.5m^3. It did smell nice. Guess the other thing is that I know what's in it. Big block so I'm thinking I need another 8-10m^3 minimum.

I think knowing what's in it has more value than you realise, remember the playground asbestos scare? I love not having to chop it down for the green bin which feels like such a waste of time and hurts my hands.

Tuesday's at work shit me.

Mondays people tend to work slower and get in gear for the week.

Friday's are (should be) wrap up days and cruise towards the weekend.

Thursday is 'tired' day. Not quite Friday but the week has worn people down. Still a bit of work, but energy levels are depleted to a certain extent.

Wednesday is hump day. Halfway through, tasks are completed,.others are starting. Busy, but with purpose.

On Tuesdays everyone is in a rush for some reason. Or keen to do shit. Don't be keen, no one likes that.

Today is a day full of keeners.

[–] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 5 points 8 months ago (1 children)

My office is full of dark, dark moods today. Fair few tempers on edge, feels like something is brewing. The keeners today will probably be told to fuck off. Hopefully it all blows over and is back to normal tomorrow!

Curry. Hot.

Maybe 5 heaped tbsps of garam masala, a spoon of paprika, a tbsp of fresh ginger was a little too much

Owner's Corp meeting survived. This may change when Boyo finds out I nominated him for the committee in absentia.

It looks quite lovely outside today. I'm going to hang some washing then go on a walk to the park. Mr Woof approves this plan.

I find this amusing 🌞Listening to pop songs in Classical Latin.

I'm such a nerd ...lol I love it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xtt78SW-mgg&list=RDXtt78SW-mgg&start_radio=1

and I understand most of it, science nerds know a lot of latin and I;m just nerdy generally

I think you might find this interesting. [Nouvelle Vague](Nouvelle Vague (album) - Wikipedia https://share.google/1jucfoJR114n4n6ur) is a French cover band that took popular music and made it bossa nova. What's interesting is the first album was covers that the singers had not heard of before.

ChatGPT is great for doing q and a for interviews. Feed it all the info and get it to quiz you.

I think this thing has a lot more use than I’ve given it credit for. For particular use cases anyhow.
