TL;DR: A leaked Reddit admin policy change will reportedly limit accounts to moderating only one large subreddit (1M+ weekly viewers) and up to five medium-sized subreddits (100k+ weekly viewers). This is seen as a response to past subreddit blackouts over API changes, with some moderators allegedly planning to circumvent the restrictions. Honestly. too little too late and for the wrong reasons. They should have done this 6-8 years ago.

And it's about 10 years too late.

It's about 5 years ago that they deleted comments from anyone saying "fuck the 5 mods"
