That's because it wasn't a real insurrection. It was a Trump-planned insurrection LARP that turned into a mob after all these noobs got too into it. They were organized and supposed to go in and out, making quick death threats at the Congresspeople who opposed Trump along the way. Showing "the public doesn't agree with this" even if they didn't manage to murder some enemies, instead it turned into memes and the collateral deaths.
