Valve does not decide how much the games cost, its the publisher Microsoft of the games. And why is Microsoft singled out here? This is true for every other publisher as well, including Sony and third parties. There is no evidence for the claim that has been made. You can't accuse being in a cartel just because you had a bad dream. Sounds like made up arguments.
Probably either aiming for deep pockets that they think would be willing to pay them to dismiss the suit, or someone behind the scenes trying to target those companies with bad press.
It’s hard to tell with Microsoft since they’re always out shooting themselves in the foot publicly, but I’ve noticed an interesting recent uptick in articles trying to paint Valve and Steam in a negative light.
