GoT had the best strategy for ending a show: Make it so bad nobody wants more and you can go on to make something new and original instead of doing the same thing forever. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Man, I hated the last two and a half seasons of GoT. I couldn't stay awake through a single episode of HotD, except for the one where shit actually happened. Didn't even bother trying to watch the second season. I wanted to hate aKot7K (is that right?) but I just couldn't. If I had never watched any of the previous series I would say it's excellent. But because it's tainted by the previous, I cannot hold it in high regard for some reason. Damn shame too, I like the show.

Lol this might be part of the joke/sarcasm but those guys butchered the ending so that they could go work on the (at the time) new Star Wars trilogy, which is almost an exact ripoff of the original trilogy.

My understanding is they ended up not working on it due to being silently fired by Disney.

Yep. It's been a while, but it may have had to do with them tarnishing their names with that ending.

Two spin off shows made, two more in the pipeline and a movie..

Yeah no one wants more.

The same is true for The Walking Dead and that show was dead before the original was even halfway through airing.
