I feel like there's been a handful of solid single player spaceship games released during the time Squadron 42 has been "in development" lmao
No man sky has beat them, lapped them and is now waltzing around them in circles by releasing features they promised but couldn't deliver.
At some point they're going to add a more visceral flight model and a fleet combat missions chian fighting a new enemy called the Rilkathi or something.
The whole Kilrathi thing wasn't even original they're just Klingons reskinned as cats and the humans are too fucking space fashy compared to Star Trek's federation so they completely bumble any possible offramp that could have prevented war.
They were also obviously ripped off from the Kzin in Larry Niven's Ringworld series.
I keep putting off playing that one because they keep adding more neat shit to it lol
Last space shootey pew pee game i played was Everspace 2 and i really had a lot of fun with it!
