from the fediverse, i would expect the ps5 hate to come from the system being locked down, not your stated reason
a few things can be true at once.
It is bad that it is a closed system, same with other consoles.
but it is also a bit of a luxury to afford a gaming PC.
It is good to complain about the system but not necessarily about the people who make the choices that they can within the system
