So the left doesn't think people can change...or they refuse to accept they have...or...they what to approve who is accepted...or...?
His policies are good for America, but cmon… do we really need a bigger, better military? Everyone was so deep into the personal drama of his past that they forgot to criticize his policies, it seems.
We definitely need a different one, since drone and AI warfare is now here.
I 100% accept that people can change, but that doesn't mean I trust them in positions of power. I don't know what this weird parasocial thing is where I'm expected to never hold politicians accountable for anything.
I don’t want people with no thought or foresight into something they permanently put on their body to lead me and I don’t want an “ex” drug addict to run our nations healthcare. Why is this so much to ask in 2026? The bar is below the Mariana Trench.
I don't even think getting the tattoo is disqualifying, but the way he handled it was sus. Even if it was a stupid, drunk decision, it's likely he figured it out at some point afterwards, and only got it covered up when it started hurting the campaign.
The part about being a Blackwater merc though, that's pretty hard to look past. "Killer for hire turned politician." One way or another, it's a sad state of affairs that this is where we're at.

Tattoos are not permanent. They can be laser removed. And people make mistakes, vulnerable people are also easily misled and manipulated. Maybe if ppl like you didn't make it impossible to make a mistake, more MAGATS would admit to making one. But you go and make any path to redemption, impossible.
