my grandmother put out a dish of radiator coolant for them.

they loved it for the rest of their lives.

then her house smelled like death for like a year.

edit: just like to add that this was probably 40 years ago. squirrels are rodents that carry disease and other pests that can cause disease (looking at you yersinia pestis). old timers didn't fuck around and took immediate action to solve their problems. you don't have to like it, but you have to accept that it was effective.

I'd rather not. I usually put out water for them and the birds and the rabbits. I might yell at the squirrels, but I don't want them dead.

We feed them peanuts once a week. Keeps them out of our bird feeders. They're pretty chill when they're not desperately hungry.
