What's the context? What show needs saving?

Stargate was slated to be revived with some of the original writers and producers on board. Executives axed it, though, just a few months after the official announcement of it even happening. The rumours are that the executives were skeptical that it would have broad appeal.

Since the Stargate IP is owned by MGM, which is owned by Amazon, the image has been altered to have Amazon's logo on Trelak's forehead.

Interesting. I didn't know a new SG show was ever on the table.

It was announced around 6 months ago, if I recall correctly. And then cancelled just about a month ago.

Your question has been answered, but some other points about what is going on here in addition to what has already been explained:

  • In an attempt to convince the rightsholders to reverse the decision to cancel the upcoming revival, fans have tweeted the rightsholders, sent them mail, and created a series of online petitions. While the Internet has since settled on just one petition to focus on and share/sign, I am not optimistic it will actually make a difference. Not to say I think it is necessarily a waste of time, but I doubt Amazon will be swayed by a petition.
  • The character depicted here is of the rank First Prime under the fictional false god "Amazon". Amazon's First Prime -> Amazon Prime. Wordplay.
  • That text is a direct quote from the scene. He is rejecting the gift of fruit from Maybourne here.

Amazon owns MGM now and had brought a bunch of the original writers and showrunners in to do a new show. Apparently it was shitcanned a couple weeks ago. After the disaster than was Universe people were excited to see the potential for a show made by some of the original SG-1 and Atlantis teams.
