Hardly any updates because SILs home is in a 5g deadspot, and their Optus WiFi isn't routing properly and won't let me access Lemmy ๐Ÿ˜‚ I have to go for a walk a few streets away to see your beautiful posts lol

Having a great time though! I've seen so many insects and birds.

I think this is a Giant Grasshopper

I haven't been able to ID this one

Partner says it's a Spitfire but spitfires don't look like that, and Google lens says it's a US moth except they're not in Aus

not a spitfire, spitfires are all black

That looks like a wooly bear caterpillar! I took a photo of a similar being a couple of years ago, will edit it in if I can find it
