I never know until it happens.
Dropped a fork? Friend used the wrong punctuation mark in a text message? Accidentally thought about the wrong past event? Computer froze? Something didn't go exactly how I planned it in my head?
Could be anything. I guess it's always more than one thing, but my brain doesn't give me enough forewarning that I'm starting to feel crappy, so all these stupid minor things end up taking me by suprise. ๐ฌ
Dropping stuff or knocking stuff over is a trigger for me too. I don't really know if it's just a case "Oh great, I already had more things to do than I can handle, and here's one more thing. " or if there's some kind of trauma origin story that I just don't remember. Maybe a bit of both.
Oh, I never even thought about it like that. I just assumed it was the "straw that broke the camel's back" effect. ๐ But you're probably on to something
Maybe tied in with rejection-sensitive dysphoria, too? Like, I assume I'm going to get laughed at or embarrassed, so I get preemptively ragey
Having a finish line to look forward to is a big thing for me. If I feel like I'm right at the end of my list of things to do before I can exit responsibility mode, and another task lands in my lap, I feel so defeated.
