And yet at the same time, not enough.
Like a fire in absolute darkness.
You start with a small fire (some knowledge), just enough to stave off the darkness, but not enough to feel safe...
You keep growing that fire (learn more and more) until it becomes a blazing inferno, so big that you fear for your safety.
But then, you look on at your surroundings. The blazing inferno lights up so much around you, yet...you are still surrounded by thick darkness, with no end insight.
You now realize just how small your fire really is in this endless darkness. And that scares you more.
