Yes those are their actual names, after the backlash they never appeared in published comic(these are from sneak peaks at a then unreleased new New Warriors series) apparently their origin involved inhaling 'internet gas'

there was this bizarre period of time in media where the right wing was crying about woke but the liberals had not fully internalized woke.
as a result we have this very funny tragicomic age of things that you are not quite sure if you are looking at a stealth way to make fun of young people or a failed attempt to related to them. its like brainworms of all kinds collided in the big corporations in such a passive aggressive way that nobody on the teams fully understood which of them was the white supremacist all along.
They still haven't, the only woke liberals are those that are part of a marginalized group themselves and most of them are exclusively woke about their own marginalized identity without a shred of being intersectional, and without the faintest awareness how easily they can be thrown under the bus when they become inconvenient to their supposed allies.
