All app notifications no longer play a sound (sh.itjust.works)

I have tried every fix out there for making sure my notification sounds are on and are meant to be playing. My volume is up, all related settings have been toggled, ect. The only culprit I have left is either lineage, or Google messenger, and this problem is persisting across multiple apps.

Basically I don't get any notification sounds, they can't be heard when "preveiwing them" in the sound selector either. Both alarm sounds and phone ringer sounds play, but not notifications.

I have a feeling out of the three, (STREAM_RING, STREAM_ALARM, STREAM_NOTIFICATION)

Something is causing a failure to call STREAM_NOTIFICATIONS

This is really annoying, has anyone had a similar situation?

You probably know and already have done this, but just a sanity check: have you confirmed that ALL volume sliders are up? theres individual sliders for notifications, calls, media and alarms.

So I actually figured it out, I have a Google watch and for some fucking reason, it has a setting that is automatically on by default. This setting is "mute phone notifications when wearing watch"

And since I mute my watch by default it meant no sound 🙄
