Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

MODERATORS
When they say because of AI, they mean due to cost reductions of using AI. Its not true, but they are not saying they were forced. Just that it made sense to do so. It's not blaming AI, but AI is to blame, if that makes sense.
Apologies, but I never meant to imply they felt coercion. It was shorthand for justifying cutting real human staff and citing a bullshit reason.
OK, I read it as being as though the decision was based on emotion or the right thing. It's just numbers. They don't employ people. They have human resources. They will happily use a different resource that is cheaper.
However, people make up society, which decides laws. We should change our laws to ensure the people benefit rather than lose out, from this gain, if it ever happens.
