We just got ourselves our first grinder! It's a cheapie because we're on a pretty tight budget. Kingrinder P0.
I tried 5 clicks from 0, but it wouldn't grind very well. At 10 it actually grinds (takes like 8-10 minutes though!), but I'm not 100% sure if it's grinding fine enough for Turkish. The coffee does get a little bit of foam on top, though! Just a very thin layer. What even constitutes "fine enough for Turkish"? I know it's supposed to be finer than espresso, but does it matter how much finer?

Are you boiling on the stove? Or just using your coffee machine to run water/steam through it?
Boiling on the stove! We technically have a coffee machine but it's packed away in its box and we just use other stuff (in large part because drip machines are easy to forget grounds in and hard to deep clean).
The little pot it's in in the picture is what we boil it in. Cezve, came with a can of turkish-preground coffee but that's basically empty now.

As an average white dude I enjoy Turkish coffee. One Turkish restaurant I went to and asked for one, they looked at me with shock and said " I don't think you want that, its not like American coffee." I'm like "I know, I like it". Then they said "its not like regular coffee, we cook it in a pot, the coffee stays in it, it is strong" etc.
