Displaying the USA flag without it burning

Is this not a person getting maimed? Like its not shown explicitly but people might like to know they're about to see somebody get grievously injured.

Ross Vail was landing near the Folsom Pro Rodeo in California when his flag snagged on a tree, sending him flying into a tent and narrowly missing grandstands and a crowd that audibly gasped as when he was sent flying to the ground. A spokesperson for Choose Folsom, which organizes the annual event, told The Sacramento Bee: “Yesterday’s landing was certainly not the landing he intended, but thankfully, the skydiver is doing well.” The skydiver cut his lip but was able to resume parachuting the following day. No other injuries were reported.

Ok I stand corrected. It looked like he'd be coming out much worse for wear from that height

I do think they got incredibly lucky though, the wrong thing underneath them and i think they'd have been coming down with enough force to be impaled

He might be fine for all we know. There's no gore, no real evidence of any serious injury except what's in your mind. Certainly no indication he was "maimed."

I mean falling in that posture from that height is evidence to me to assume a serious injury until shown otherwise. The other commenter posted an article showing that he made it out without major injuries so it's fine, but I would rather play it safe until that info is available

That's ok and I appreciate that. Didn't mean to spark anything it just made me feel weird watching before I knew the details
