Only the ultras say that. Any sane leftist appreciate any effort to push socialism in public. We need charismatic public figures to explain the socialism to masses.

BUT, only participating in bourgeois democracy and claiming actively organizing for a revolution "unpopular resistance" is right deviationism and is bound to fail.

Chile and Venezuela tried democratic socialism and they ended up having the US crushing and destabilizing the countries.
