So for the past week, the grease trap in the dumpster room has backed up. Started slightly flood the dumpster room with old grease from the commercial property downstairs.

They reckon it hasn't been cleaned out properly for years, and the poor new lease holders (a cafe) weren't even aware of it as it wasn't mentioned on their lease. They apologised anyway, and this morning have gotten a company to clean it.

I don't think I've ever smelled anything so fucking rancid. Fucking hell it's foul af. Like bin juice but rotten.

What a lovely way to wake up.

I recently had a liquid waste truck come to take away a vat that I nicknamed my witches brew - it was a 700L vat made up of expired wine making additives. I nearly vomited several times making up the vat (over the course of 1 day - it initially sounded fun but I realised very quickly how awful it would be, like extremely expired kombucha), but when that truck showed up and opened it's valves to start pumping.... oh my god, I will never forget it. It got into every space in the building for days. The gentleman operating the truck was so lovely, I felt so awful that I literally RAN away dry retching. Vomited half way down the warehouse.

Same! I can't imagine how many body wash products they have to use to just smell normal ๐Ÿ˜ญ

You stop smelling it. I worked in what was essentially a fancy rendering plant while at uni.

Boyo did a short run at a fish based fertiliser plant. They stripped to jocks on the porch and threw out their pants every week. Glad I wasn't around for that!!
