The experiment was going well for a while

So well in fact other countries adopted a lot from you, yet you never saw improvements on your systems to be emulated at all

The experiment started with genocide, then slavery, and never really stopped doing either. They've been at war for all but roughly 20 years of their 250 year existence. Tens of millions of dead civilians around the world.

I would argue that’s a holdover from the Europeans and while they became more enlightened and peaceful the Americans took no lessons
