Originally it was "exclusively" marketed towards women with:
They've rebranded it, removed the bizarre features and upped some specs, albeit still quite expensive and heavy. But WHAT WERE THEY THINKING
There was the Dodge La Femme back in the fifties, it had a lipstick holder, came in an exclusive pretty pink color, had upholstery done in tapestry, and it included a matching purse and raincoat.
There was also the Volvo YCC, Your Concept Car, in early 2000's. It had a completely sealed engine compartment, so gals didn't need to get their hands grimey. It was intended to go 50,000km between oil changes. It had run flat tires. It had the equivalent of Teflon infused paint to make cleaning the car easy; dirt can't stick to the surfaces.
what bizarre marketing. a heated seat is nice for everyone, period or not.
