Gunna' go play some more Mario Kart World tonight finishing off the collectibles. That's all I have left to do, really. The back to Zelda: TOTK or something, maybe.
I started a Pokemon Emerald Seaglass romhack playthrough with a friend, but IDK, as much as I like the gen 2-style visuals it's not how I'd do a ROMhack like that. It has some modern pokemon and modern Pokemon and mechanics (typings, moves, phys/special split, etc.) that I'm kinda' tired of seeing. Having stuff from later games constantly backported to earlier ones starts making them all feel the same, which is probably worse for Pokemon since the actual games themselves aren't super developed or complicated. The distinction between regions and game generations is one of the few bits of gameplay friction the games have left as new gens keep sanding everything interesting away. Regions having limited Pokemon pools gives them uniqueness. Generations having different mechanics makes the battles not feel like solving the same sudoku puzzle over and over.
Was maybe going to try that Emerald double battle romhack since that seemed interesting but that includes modern generation mechanics too.
