Hopefully Russia will have a return to socialism at some point, yeah. Though I don't expect it to be easy.

But of the key anti-imperialist powers in the world, China appears to be the strongest in every way and it is run by a communist vanguard party. So that may help in terms of the peoples of non-socialist countries looking at China as a good example and going "wait a minute, this capitalism stuff is kind of a dead end, isn't it?" Comparatively, in post-WWII, the US was positioned extremely well due to its manufacturing base at the time, its connection to pre-existing colonialism, and largely being unmarred by the war while so many other countries were damaged by it, and so it was able to export capitalism as imperialism, both with violence (which it did prolifically) and with the appearance of prosperity attached to capitalism (which was somewhat deceptive, as it was a more situational prosperity than something arising out of capitalism intrinsically).

Now we are heading toward a path where that may flip in perspective. Where China is the manufacturing base of the world and, with the help of a socialist guiding hand, is able to show advanced cities and systems, while the US is still dragging its feet on public transportation and producing a mob boss style openly white supremacist president. China is also building mutually-beneficial relationships for a while now. Where the US influence declines, China will more be there offering an alternative - an alternative that is not coercive and "win-lose", but is instead "win-win". This will not on its own create revolutions, but it will help countries transition away from the exploitative dependent relationships of imperialism and toward self-determination. Making them more equipped to chart their own path, whether that is something explicitly communist or something more akin to Iran's anti-imperialist nationalism and promotion of regional independence from imperialism. But perhaps more importantly, make them more equipped to thrive as a people in day to day things that some of us take for granted, instead of being underdeveloped and exploited by imperialism.
